Our corporation CINEMART was found in 1992.

The company resides in its own building at the Prague's city center, Narodni 28 from where we operate all our activities focused mainly on distribution and exploitation of high-quality Czech, European and Indies films. More often we also act as co-producers of Czech films. We built the cinema in the basement of our building in Prague, Narodni 28, in 1997. This up-to-date equipped cinema with 72 high quality seats, sound arrangement Dolby Stereo SR and air-conditioning soon integrated oneself with the Prague's film public. For the cinema's visitors there is an adjoining restaurant that offers them some refreshments. The cinema Evald became a member of the European network Europa Cinemas in 2004. Beside the regular film screenings the cinema Evald also continuously works on the project of co-operation between four Prague's art-house cinemas called Osa 9. The project combines cinemas Aero, Evald, Mat and Svetozor. Apart from the fact that all the cinemas are linked by tram number 9 (that is why the title Osa 9) another connection between them is also the interest in quality programming. The cinemas involved in the project Osa 9 created a system of interrelated first run screenings of chosen quality films and guarantee the spectator to see the particular film in first three weeks of the release in one of the four participating cinemas.
