We, the Rectorate of the International Baptist Theological Seminary of the European Baptist Federation, along with our support staff, exist to serve the Baptists of Europe and beyond. In a spirit of discipleship, and with clear Baptist identity, we seek to assist people to become equipped as God´s mission agents by: upholding the central doctrines of the Christian faith and our historic Baptist principles, operating in a spiritual community of prayer and worship, pledging ourselves to a high standard of Biblical, ethical Christian morality, and expecting the same of all members of our community, forming and continuing to equip scholars, pastors, lay leaders, administrators, and evangelists for ministry in and through the Church, maintaining a centre of excellence in Christian scholarship and learning, by engaging in new research and ideas that contribute to a stronger Christian witness in our world, offering a place where Baptists and other Christians gather for study, reflection, spiritual renewal, worship, and fellowship, and where cultures, traditions, and different practices of our Baptist faith are accepted and celebrated in a loving Christian community, providing academic programmes, short courses, specialist modules, and conferences that help to meet the perceived and expressed needs of individuals, churches, institutions, and Unions of the European Baptist Federation, and working in partnership with other Baptist and Christian institutions in Europe and beyond.
