Purple Turtle Preschool (Skolicka Zelvicka) offers full and half day teaching and care for 1½ to 6 year olds, in the (British) English and Czech languages, in an attractive residential location in the quiet and leafy commuter village of Dolní Měcholupy, South East Prague. Under the care of qualified and experienced teachers (including native speakers), and with the overall goal of teaching our kids to be independent, confident and responsible, we encourage learning through play with a structured programme of weekly topics which are explored through words, art, music, exercise, food and time outdoors, including walks and organized playtime activities. Our programme is based on the British Government's Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines. Our preschool is small and intimate, with a very low child-to-teacher ratio. We aim to teach English in a natural way, combining with the Czech language, so that children develop their communication skills in both languages.
