A pattern is emerging with this company - My colleague has just received an email but this time on the afternoon before she is due to get a car, to tell her that that they no longer have a car available for her - terrible!!!!

Skunks is the applicable word here. After arranging a monthly rental, I got an email at 17.30 (not a phone call) the day before the contract started, "we are sorry, but your reserved car is no longer available" The creeps rented out my car to another customer. Of course when I came to collect another car, they didnt have the type I needed, only upgrades...ergo more expensive. Can you imagine the scene when they tried to pull that trick on me...me? 10yrs as Sales Director at AAA AUTO. Actually it was kinda funny. I did get the price I wanted, but I seriously doubt anyone else would have. Now, here is the best part: I am supposed to return the car on Sunday, but guess what? SUNDAY THEY ARE CLOSED! I can drop the car off a day early(no reduction in price), or pay a 400kc Sunday pick up fee, otherwise I am charged another day's rental. I have been to markets in Morocco that had more professionalism and intelligence than these losers. Have fun if you chose them

Just a quick review to compliment Alimex.

I decided to take a last minute trip (last minute in that I decided on Thursday for a departure on Friday). After a horrible experience with Royal Rent A Car (see my review there), I started calling around and found Alimex. They had a decent selection of cars, very reasonable prices, spoke very good english, and were able to rent me the car with a little under 2 hours notice. I ended up with a Opel Astra Combi and while it was underpowered with a really weird automatic transmission (I can drive standard but am just lazy)... it met the demands of a road trip thru Germany just fine...

Overall Impression: Fast and Friendly service with great cars and staff... Definitely would go there again...
