Great choice if you want to visit a nice bar with friends in the center of Prague, have a tasteful cocktail during the week, or dance and party crazy during the weekend (thou most of the time the party is there any day of the week :) )

M1 Lounge has proven to be one of the best clubs right in the center of Prague. The Staff is helpful and fun to be around and the variety of parties guarantees a good atmosphere with lots of different people. Prizes are friendly and the party goes till late night.

Looking for a place, this is the place :)

I visited M1 lounge several times in October. On weekends it is an intense vibe, usually with an American (or American style) DJ spinning RnB. The entire staff speaks both fluent English and Czech which is rare in Prague. The bartenders specialize in unique cocktails - they make the best Swimming pool and Sex on the beach in Prague (some places don't even know what they are).

It can be a bit of a challenge to get a seat on the weekends, as after 11pm as it can get really packed. The atmosphere is dark with red velvet couches and steel tables. Weekends at m1 seem to be more about dancing and partying while during the week it has a more chilled vibe.

I hear in January the place will be completely renovated, should be interesting. In the mean time M1 lounge is a pretty a unique place to visit, although it can get a bit jammed on weekends. Definitely worth checking out.

I went to M1 a couple of Fridays ago for the RnB night with Big J, and had a quality night. Everything about the place was good, from the welcome I received at the door to the service on the bar.

I agree that the place needs to be revamped, and from what the waitress told me its going to be the place to be seen when it does - but its only cosmetic things that need doing, as the sound system seemed pretty high tech

Also, the drinks are good value for the area - certainly cheaper than I expected. The bloody mary was recommended to me and I can see why, it was the nicest ive had in Prague.

The only downside is my luck wasnt in that night, the place had lots of attractive women in, but none fell for my charms. Its ok, ill definately be back to try again soon!

I was there on a Saturday night in early September 07.

The service at the bar was somewhat surly, and the draught beer I was served was certainly the worst I've had in Prague - flat and warm.

The bar was busy with a lively mix of people, tourists and locals, and the DJs were playing hiphop, but a curious blend of chart hits of the last 15 years. So while it was nice to hear old Death Row and Arrested Development all over again, it was hardly cutting edge!

Decor wise, the club felt like it needed a bit of a spruce-up - the seats were tatty and tables sticky. Won't be rushing back.

A very chilled-out and swanky bar, as you enter there is a long bar and nice mood lighting with exposed brickwork and services giving a very modern and up-market feel, a long comfy sofa with tables and stools down one side of the large room that make up this venue.

Located towards the Nothern / Jewish section of Prague just off Dlouha, there isn´t much to see from the outside and perhaps this is where the 'secret' label comes from, it´s pretty much just a door, with a small sign, I spotted it the first time I walked past, so its not too hard to find.

The place also doesn´t open till later on in the evening 10 or 11 but carries on till 4 or 6 (details escape me) most nights. Handy in the mid-week if you want a late one as open places can get a little scarce after 2am.

I was there on a Wednesday night (2006) and it was "Indie/Britpop/etc night". I talked to the DJ, American guy, and he said that for that night lots of students go there, he was spinning some classic tunes the likes of which I hadn´t heard anywhere else in Prague, he will also play requests.

There was quite a nice looking well dressed crowd of people (plus me), a few nice women, but it was still early on and the place wasn´t that busy, so the atmosphere was more "chilled conversation" than "mingle".

Beer was reasonably priced but it´s not as cheap as a lot of other places in Prague, but then it´s nicer than a lot of other places in Prague!

Sign outside says "No Stag Parties".
