About us

DUHOVKA INSTITUTE

Located in Prague, Czech Republic, Duhovka Institute provides quality Montessori Diploma courses, Continuing Education Programs, and Workshops in Montessori Education and Parenting. Our Duhovka Montessori Teacher Education Program (DMTEP) prepares the Adult Learner for a successful career as a Certified Montessori Teacher with an internationally recognized credential.

Our Montessori teacher course curriculum is based on the pedagogical approach and principles established by Dr. Maria Montessori. Our Montessori courses are taught in English by international credentialed staff, with respect for multilingual and multicultural environments.

We strictly follow all the guidelines of AMS (American Montessori Society) and MACTE (Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education). Our teaching sites and classrooms are located in the center of Prague, in recently renovated facilities, and are equipped with a complete supply of Montessori teaching materials.

Adult Learners are guided through presentations and use hands on experience to create materials, design environments and to understand the scope and sequence of the Montessori curriculum. Emphasis is placed on learning the techniques of facilitation and support as the role of Directress is developed. Graduates acquire knowledge and hands on practice to confidently lead both bilingual and local language classrooms.
