The Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel originally opened in 1932 as the Alcron Hotel. Luxurious and modern for its time, the Alcron enjoyed the enviable reputation of being the "in" hotel during Prague's lively Jazz-age.
Today, under the management of Radisson SAS, this elegant and famous hotel once again commands center stage in Prague, as evidenced by its winning the prestigious Five Star Diamond Award in 2003, 2004 and recently in 2005 from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. This award, which represents the highest achievements in the hospitality industry, is an honour few other hotels or restaurants in Europe have attained. The Radisson SAS Alcron Hotel and its Alcron Restaurant were the first in Central and Eastern Europe to receive this coveted award.
