SUMMARY:
Provide Application support & Deployment services for part of a given Domain to DHL Business Units and acting as Service Owner in order to ensure the maximum availability of these services to the business with minimal disruption to business continuity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides second line technical support to users of business applications, using standard ITS processes and procedures.
- Provides deployment services for area of competence.
- Receives requests for support from business users.
- Prioritizes requests in accordance with agreed criteria and the needs of the organization in accordance with SLAs and current processes and procedures.
- Investigates problems and other support requests and determines appropriate actions to take.
- Within own area of competence, provides correct responses to requests for support by means of, for example: developing work-a-rounds or site-specific enhancements, manipulating data, reconfiguring systems, helping to implement changes to operating procedures, training users or operations staff, producing additional documentation, or escalating requests.
- Typically performs up to C-Tier role during Recovery Management process.
- Follows quality standards and policies relating to their technical specialism(s).
- Liaises with staff responsible for the design & development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements.
- Typically acts as Service Owner for regional service.
- Typically assigned specific project related tasks by Tech Lead, Team Lead, or PM.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Very good knowledge of Unix-based systems (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX ...)
- DBA skills (Oracle, Informix, MS SQL ...)
- Knowledge of Windows-based systems
- SQL
- Shell Scripting
- Experience with System Integration

- Strong analytical thinking
- Team Player
- Very good communication skills in English both written and spoken
