Senior Manager, Logistics and Supplier Management

Team Description & Purpose of Role

Based in Prague this role will become responsiable for the overall management of the
Logistics, Supplier Management and matrix management of remote Regional Customer Service Centres (RCSCs)

Job Responsibilties

Economically operate Logistics and Supplier Management, through effective use of direct reports and internal resources in the remote Regional Customer Service Centres(RCSCs)
Implement supplier management strategy centrally and via RCSCs working with Sales Operations to balance cost and operational considerations
Benchmark and establish supplier standards for the delivery of equipment and services
Maintain list of current and approve new suppliers
Hold budget reviews and implement cost saving program and through RCSC and guide them on benchmarking and areas of cost reduction
Hold performance reviews direct and through RCSCs with suppliers
Ensure effective systems and Delivery processes are in place to support efficient use of resource for purchase and delivery
Establish a complete set of KPI and metric reporting, that provides all necessary management performance data to assess the effectiveness of the process and that the services provided are in accordance with best industry practice.
Establish a knowledge base of International equipment shipment with associated customs and tax implications
Manage logistics associated with major projects with particular emphasis on rest of world shipment
Ensure effective systems and processes are in place to support efficient use of resource for Logistics

Experience Required

Fluent or Native English
5 years plus logistics/ supplier managment experience on a European level
Staff management experience at a dierctor level Leadership and Management skills with direct experience of Logistics and Supplier management in the Telecom’s industry
Able to influencing change across organisations through continual process improvement
Sound knowledge of setting and driving improvements through Key Performance Indicators
Management and matrix management of remote groups
Self motivated
Ability to build and motivate teams and cross-departmental business relationships both local and through matrix management
