Kline & Company  has an opportunity for a managerial position in our Chemicals & Materials practice. We mainly focus on specialty products, including personal care ingredients, raw materials for pharmaceuticals, specialty biocides, specialty polymers and materials, including synthetic latex polymers, and other specialty products. Our clients include many of the leading multinational chemicals and materials companies.

Job Description:

Guide research process and deliverables of in-depth global market research studies.

• Oversee efforts of the individuals conducting research and writing reports


• Develop/refine scope of studies, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables


• Drive staff performance to successful completion of studies


• Review and edit the data and insights for studies to ensure accuracy and quality


• Guide the development of analysis, appraisal and recommendations, oral presentations, and all supporting documentation


• Conduct selected primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information


• Drive improvement of online delivery of databases and market studies


• Occasionally contribute to management consulting projects

Drive business development efforts.

• Maintain and develop client relationships


• Facilitate client sales meetings, work sessions, and presentations


• Lead pre-survey meetings with charter subscribers


• Work with sales team to drive revenue growth


• Provide input into press releases, liaise with media as necessary, and other marketing communications


• Speak at conferences


• Develop and implement new syndicated study topics


• Lead generation and proposal writing for management consulting projects

Job Requirements:

• At least five years of experience in market research, project management, and the chemicals and materials industry, preferably in a consulting or market research environment


• Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team


• Analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills


• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and motivate in a team environment to achieve results that meet or exceed client expectations


• Bachelors degree in a related field; MBA a plus


• Willingness to travel


• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines


• Good oral and written English language skills are required


• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
