GALILEO TECHNICAL ARCHITECT and GALILEO DESIGNER (LONDON)

Your profile - ARCHITECT:

·         Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

·         Willing to work abroad : London (UK) and occasional travelling

·         DOORs

·         Java / Web application development

·         Linux / Unix

·         Good working knowledge of Linux and Oracle, SQL

·         ISEB/ISTQB Qualified

·         HP Quality centre

·         Experience of 3-tier web-based development architectures, Java, Oracle

·         Cryptographic / Security experience

·         Subversion (svn)

·         Detailed design with UML modelling tool, ideally Enterprise Architect

·         Knowledge of Java development, C#, C++, LDAP

·         Eclipse development platform

·         Any previous knowledge of COS satellite control system

·         Any previous knowledge of Galileo

·         Team player, open-minded, proactive, loyal, experienced in communication with business users, quick learner

 

Your work - ARCHITECT:

As a part in the development of Galileo, Europe's satellite navigation system:

·         To support the change management and delivery planning
Ensure that design aligns with client requirements

·         Oversee and support the design and developers

·         Document technical information.

Your profile - DESIGNER:

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Willing to work abroad - London (UK) and occasional travelling

·         Experience of the development and testing lifecycle

·         Knowledge of Java development or another OO language (C#, C++)

·         Experience of developing to stringent development standards (Space, Defence standards etc)

·         Experience of testing to stringent testing approach (Unit, Module etc)

·         ICEfaces or JSF

·         Linux

·         Subversion or another configuration management tool

·         Knowledge of SQL, Oracle DB

·         Any previous knowledge of Galileo

·         Optional skill: iBatis, JUnit, detailed design with UML modelling tool, using an observation reporting tool, e.g. Mantis, knowledge of XML Tools (Maven, Ant…)

• Team player, open-minded, proactive, loyal, experienced in communication with business users

Your work - DESIGNER:

As a part in the development of Galileo, Europe's satellite navigation system:

·         Analyzing existing high-level design and Interface Control Documents to derive detailed design documentation

·         Writing detailed designs based on high level designs of components

·         Following the agreed design documentation to implement the components

·         Write module & component test cases

·         Raising observation reports for bugs/anomalies in the system requirements and the system being tested
