Backup Specialist

 

One of the biggest international company, leading network and telecommunication services, has opened new opportunities for Backup Specialists in BRNO, CZECH  REPUBLIC.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Responsibility for providing tier 2 technical support and administration for the NetBackup & TSM enterprise environments. 

Investigation and resolution of backup and restore trouble tickets.

Creation and support of change requests that impact backups, backup software configuration changes, backup software upgrades and client migrations, restore support and backup domain health checks.

Required to provide 24X7 on-call support.

 

Required Skills:

•             Intermediate knowledge of Symantec NetBackup and / or IBM TSM software

•             Understanding of open system backup implementation

•             Experience with current IBM and / or SUN current tape silo technology

•             Working knowledge of trouble ticket and change processes

•             Ability to operate well in an international environment, multicultural environment

•             Ability to drive things forward

•             Reliable, responsive and flexible

•             Self-motivated, detail-oriented and teamwork skills

 

Desired Skills:

•             Working knowledge of various midrange OS platforms (Sun Solaris, HP – UX, IBM AIX, Linux and Windows – networking, device management, services)

•             Understanding of storage hardware and de-duplication appliances, including EMC Data

•             Working knowledge of UNIX Shell scripting and / or Perl scripting
